I offer somatic therapy in Amsterdam and online, working relationally and with embodied awareness, informed by Hakomi.
A Somatic Approach to Working With Emotional and Relational Experience
In somatic therapy, we work with how emotional patterns reveal themselves in the body and nervous system, not only how they are understood mentally.
Many of the challenges people bring — anxiety, tension, reactivity, or feeling stuck in certain patterns — are not only psychological, but also experienced in the body.
By slowing down and bringing awareness to present-moment experience, we create space to notice what is happening internally. From this place, new understanding and change can begin to emerge naturally, without force or pressure.
This is a gentle, exploratory process that unfolds at a pace that feels safe and respectful to your system.
What You Can Explore in Somatic Therapy
Many people come to somatic therapy because they notice patterns in their life that feel difficult, stuck, or not working in the way they would like — patterns that can be hard to shift through thinking alone.
These patterns often appear in how we relate to others, respond under stress, or move through emotional moments — sometimes as repetition, overwhelm, or a sense of confusion.
In our work together, we explore these patterns as they unfold in present-moment experience, through the body and nervous system.
People often come with themes such as
◌ Feeling stuck in recurring emotional or relational patterns
◌ Anxiety, stress, or a sense of internal pressure
◌ Difficulty slowing down or feeling grounded
◌ Struggles with boundaries, self-worth, or self-trust
◌ Feeling disconnected from emotions or the body
◌ Navigating life transitions or identity shifts
◌ Integrating intense or meaningful life experiences
You don’t need to know exactly what is going on in order to begin — we can start with what is here and gently explore from there.
How Sessions Work
In my sessions, I offer a grounded and attuned space where we explore your present-moment experience together.
Rather than focusing on analysis or fixing, we slow things down and notice what is happening internally — in your thoughts, emotions, sensations, and relational responses.
This allows deeper patterns to become more visible in a safe and supported way, at a pace that respects your system.
A Hakomi-Informed Approach
My work is informed by Hakomi, a mindfulness-based somatic approach that uses present-moment awareness to gently explore patterns held in the body and nervous system.
Instead of trying to change anything directly, we create the conditions for new understanding and possibilities to emerge through awareness.
You don’t need any experience with mindfulness or somatic work — we meet you where you are.
Two Ways to Work Together
Depending on what you are looking for, there are two ways we can work together. Both are grounded in somatic awareness, relational presence, and a slow, attuned process that respects your system.
Somatic Therapy
For ongoing support with emotional patterns, anxiety, relational challenges, and deeper self-understanding.
In these sessions, we work with present-moment experience to gently explore how patterns are held in the body and nervous system.
Psychedelic-Assisted Somatic Therapy
For those drawn to exploring expanded states of awareness within a structured, relational process.
This includes preparation, guided sessions, and integration, with a strong emphasis on safety, presence, and pacing.
“Odin has a wonderful skill to hold space for what is. He was an insightful companion on my journey to more acceptance. Working with him shed a light on me being almost constantly in opposition to the present. He enabled me to look inside without trying to fight against myself. So grateful for all the insights I gathered after I allowed myself to be.”
Meet Odin
I’m a somatic therapist and certified psychedelic facilitator working with Hakomi-informed, body-based approaches to inner exploration.
My work is grounded in presence, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s pace. In sessions, I focus on creating a safe and attuned space where you can slow down, notice what is happening internally, and explore patterns as they show up in the body and nervous system.
I’m not here to interpret your experience for you, but to support you in staying with it long enough for something new to become visible.
My background includes Hakomi training, somatic psychotherapy, and psychedelic facilitation work. Over time, I’ve come to value a slow, relational approach that prioritizes safety, embodiment, and genuine connection over intensity or insight-seeking.
What people experience in this work
“I went on a Hakomi journey with Odin, and it was such a beautiful experience. I have been able to deepen my understanding in the language of my body. With his gentle approach, he guided me into a subconscious field where I could let go of old stories and open up to a new way.”
“Odin guided my first experience on psychedelics. I felt very safe and well-prepared. During and after the journey, he supported me gently as I made my own meaning. It was life-changing and helped me find a newfound direction in life.”
“My experience of Odin and the sessions was one of exploration of one’s inner self/state. Shining a flash light on pain I wasn’t aware I had. With his gentle guidance and explanations to my many questions we went on to explore how awareness can transform or at least turn down that level of pain a few notches. I felt very safe and supported during our sessions together. You are in safe hands. Much gratitude and thanks”
“Odin has supported me with Hakomi sessions for 2 months. Instantly, Odin in a very gentle way is able to build trust. His voice and pacing are remarkable. Skilled, warm and very flexible, he took me to insights and inner places not visited before. Timing and refined questioning - and dang - I got what I needed to see to move on.”
